Tortilla in 30 minutes

Flour tortillas or, as they are also called, tortillas are quite popular products that can be easily used instead of bread. In addition, other dishes with meat or vegetables can be prepared from the classic tortilla. That is why the product has fairly high popularity all over the world. You can easily prepare it at home in just half an hour.

Tortilla in 30 minutes: ingredients

To make a homemade tortilla in just 30 minutes, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 250 g flour.
  • 2 tbsp. l. vegetable oil (preferably odorless).
  • 150 ml of warm water.
  • ½ teaspoon fine salt.

Tortilla in 30 minutes: cooking steps

  • Take a deep bowl. Sift the flour to eliminate debris and lumps, and pour it into a bowl. Add vegetable oil and salt. Pour in water and mix everything well to get a homogeneous mixture. Take the dough out of the bowl and knead it for about 5 minutes on a lightly dusted surface, or until it forms a soft, smooth ball that won’t stick to your hands.
  • Repackage the dough in the bowl, wrap it in a dishtowel, and set it aside for 15 minutes to rest.
  • When the dough is infused, divide it into 6 even parts. Sprinkle the surface with flour and roll out each ball to get circles about 20 cm wide.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat. As soon as it heats up, send the dough there. Cook the tortillas for 1-2 minutes on each side. Fry until all the cakes are ready. Let them cool down a bit and eat.
